Wait. Don’t I need my vet?

Our products are designed to be used in collaboration with your veterinarian.  Frequent testing can help avoid over-dosing and blanket deworming which contribute to parasite resistance. Our kit is tested and approved by leading veterinarians and equine health experts. It gives you fast, accurate, on-site information at a low cost to share with your veterinarian.

To make this easy, a new company has recently developed a FEC kit that contains a good quality inexpensive microscope all the supplies that are needed and instructions. The company is Eggzamin. I have actually purchased a microscope from them for my own lab and have been very impressed with it.

Be a savvy buyer. Not all microscopes are created equal!

You’ll find other options on the web, but be forewarned, not all microscopes are suitable for the McMaster Method FEC test.

Our optical equipment is designed to be compatible with the McMaster test chambered slides, giving you the correct stage, features and focus to easily and accurately scan and count eggs from captured samples. This professional grade microscope will out-perform other low-quality models, and most importantly, you won’t have to struggle with cracked slides, poor lighting, inadequate field scope, and bad angles.

Research is evolving and parasitologists tell us that, unless changes are made to current deworming practices, widespread resistance to all deworming products is inevitable – we must change the way we manage parasites. Test First!

I want to give a shout out to Ezzamin! With your great products and support and with proper husbandry I have not had to de worm my sheep of 120 head in over 3 years. And this is living in North Texas where we average about 20 plus inches of rain a year and 500% humidity! Thanks again for the great products !
