Small Ruminant Deworming Guide
The roughly 200 species of ruminants across the globe include both domestic and wild species. Here we are concerned with cattle, and all domesticated goats, sheep, and the pseudoruminant camelids, llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas.
Small Ruminants/Camelids should NEVER be given dewormers based on a schedule or convenience; treatments should ALWAYS be given based on Fecal Egg Count results and the Treatment Checklist. Every time a dewormer is used, you are compounding resistance in your worm populations.
